Youth Programs
Community Futures is partnering with Junior Achievement of BC and School District 46 to bring the JA experience to high school youth.
Programs offered on the Sunshine Coast will focus on entrepreneurialism and money management, and will encourage young people to value and develop leadership, teamwork, and decision making skills.
Initial offerings will be Economics for Success delivered to Grade 10 students in a half day session and The Company Program for Grades 10 to 12, which runs over 16 weeks and students develop, start up and operate their own company.
In order to accomplish this we need volunteers from the community to deliver the Programs at Sunshine Coast High Schools. If you would like to volunteer to be part of this exciting opportunity to inspire Sunshine Coast youth or would like more information please contact:

Career Fair
Community Futures Sunshine Coast, in partnership with Chatelech Secondary School, sponsors a Career Fair for Grade 10 students.
The Career Fair is offered in February or March, and exhibitors set up information in the gym for the morning. Exhibitors consist of a people from a variety of businesses, professions, trades, the arts, etc. giving students an opportunity to discover career opportunities and what it takes to get there.
Throughout the morning students circulate amongst the exhibitors, where they have the opportunity to talk one on one with them about their careers. They also attend three presentations from exhibitors of their choice to learn more.
This event is a huge success! Both exhibitors and students have given it great reviews. If you would like to support career exploration for Sunshine Coast youth and volunteer as an exhibitor please contact:
